Glaux maritima

Sea milkwort is a small perennial plant with a creeping habit. It has salt glands on its leaves and is able to tolerate high salinity as an adult. It exudes milky sap when broken and that is probably the origin of the common name. In well drained conditions it can be a dominant species in the community.
