Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani

"Sedges have edges and rushes are round". Well not all sedges have edges, this one is round.

Schoenoplectus taberaemontani

To be honest it's mentioned here mainly because I like the name. It's a sedge known in English (somewhat confusingly) as the grey bulrush. The vegetation in the foreground of the picture is mainly Schoenoplectus taberaemontani at the top of the Gann salt marsh near Dale in Pembrokeshire.
